SPLAT models

To allow SPLAT to be pip installable, most of the spectral models available for use in the splat.model module have been moved to this webpage. Please be sure to cite both SPLAT and the original model reference if you use these data.

Instructions

Choose a folder on your computer to store the files, and make sure SPLAT knows where to find it by adding the full path to this folder in the ~./splat_spectral_models file
Click on the link below for the model set you want, which will provide you with a .zip file, and save to your selected folder
Unzip the file; if all went according to plan, you should be able to access these models the next time you import splat.model

The model folder structure is in the format:

	model_folder/
		MODEL_NAME/
			SPEX-PRISM/
				...
			JWST-NIRSPEC-PRISM/
				...
				etc.

If you add additional models in this folder that aren't defined in the splat.DEFINED_SPECTRAL_MODELS variable, be sure to update this variable to make optimal use of SPLAT's functionality.
